ModeAudio releases 'Cassette 808 Drums'

ModeAudio has released Cassette 808 Drums - 112 royalty-free drum samples captured by running drum machines through a vintage Tascam 4 track unit.

The drum hits include booming kicks to crisp snares, taught claps, shimmering hi hats and the device's built-in selection of plucky percussive flavours, offering the warmth and punch of retro synthesis. Also included are a set of 12 samples exploring the sounds of the tape machine itself, ranging from chunky button pushes and tape hiss to the sound of magnetic tape spooling forwards and backwards.

Completing the pack is a collection of 6 pre-mixed, mapped and choke-assigned drum kit sampler patches, capturing the flavours of golden era Hip Hop, House and Techno.
