Plughugger releases "MQXL" for Spectrasonics Omnisphere

Plughugger has released MQXL for Spectrasonics Omnisphere.

MQXL is a soundset based on the Waldorf MicroQ hardware synthesizer that was released in the early 2000. The MicroQ was a virtual analog synthesizer, with traditional subtractive synthesis mixed with wavetables, ring modulation and a very digital sounding effect section.

The design goal with MQXL was to bring back the sound of the MicroQ but re-imagined as if it would have been made today, with real analog filters and modern effects. While embracing the character of the MicroQ, Plughugger also kept true to the sonic flaws in the synthesizer.

As a fun bonus, Plughugger also recorded a handful of basic waveforms processed with the Elektron Analog Heat for a more modern edge.
