Plughugger releases “World of Darkness” for u-he Repro

Plughugger has announced the release of World of Darkness for u-he Repro, a soundset that is conceptually inspired by the Dune movies and TV series. Rather than replicating the sound design and score, the main focus was to create a dark and forceful soundset with cinematic qualities.

To balance out the harshness Plughugger added sounds inspired by the scores from 90s action and thriller movies, inspired by John Carpenter.

The majority of the sounds are focused on otherworldly textures, strangely tuned pads but also deep analog bass sounds, effects and drum & percussion sounds.

World of Darkness contains 150 sounds in the following categories:

• 16 Bass sounds.
• 9 Drum & Percussion.
• 23 Effects.
• 37 Pads and Strings.
• 30 Synth sounds.
• 35 Textures & Soundscapes.

All sounds are properly tagged making finding sounds easy (both in Repro as well as in Native Instruments Maschine and Komplete Kontrol). The soundset also supports audio previews for Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.
