Bunker Samples releases "Off-World Vol. 2" for Kontakt - powered by Shape

Bunker Samples has announced the release Off-World Vol. 2, a synthesizer made from a single string, powered by Shape, a new dual-layer engine with custom user-drawable LFOs and effects chains for Kontakt.

Here's what they say:

Off-World Vol. 2 is a collection of evocative, living and breathing textures, soundscapes and pads, hand crafted from a single string, then morphed and processed to create new sonic landscapes – from wobbly tape dust and broken oscillators to expansive evolving textures, all powered by the new Shape engine.

All 45 source sounds in this library share the same origin: the single string of the Dan Bau, an ancient Vietnamese monochord with a distinct timbre and a very expressive pitch manipulation handle, which was meticulously sampled in unconventional ways to create sounds that live and breathe with a human feel to them. From the mellow pitch wobble of the E-bow recordings, to the more synth-like textures of the bowed samples, these sounds are well suited for creating atmospheric and engaging sound beds in film, TV and game scoring.

To further expand the possibilities, Shape, a new Kontakt engine was developed:

• Dual-layers with independent ADSR, Volume, Pan and Tune controls.
• Two custom shape LFOs per layer. Draw any shape you want.
• 4 effects slot per layer.
• 15 user-selectable effects available in all effects slots, including 17 filter subtypes.
• Modulate Volume, Pan, and and up to four effects parameters per layers with the custom shaped LFOs.
• Bi-polar modulation intensity sliders.
• Master channel with 4 effects slot.
• Built-in quick help.

Requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.7.3 or later. It will not work in the free Kontakt Player.
