ModeAudio releases 'Prepared Piano Samples'

ModeAudio has released Prepared Piano Samples, a mini pack of 100 deep knocks, resonant plucks, tingling scratches and reverberant hits, all sampled using the avant-garde 20th century technique of the prepared piano.

Attaching a collection of objects to the instrument's mechanisms of strings, hammers and soundboard, the resulting percussive sounds are captured here in a set of samples that can be used to construct experimental rhythmic ideas.

Alongside the core set of samples, 2 drum sampler kits are also included as well as 3 kits of specific sample types (beaters, taps and plastic hits).
