Audiofier releases three new Veevum libraries for Kontakt

3rd February 2023

Audiofier has released Veevom Morph, Veevum Synth and Veevum Sync Mod-Tron for Kontakt (5.8.1+).

Veevum is a growing series of Ambient and Cinematic instruments. With Veevum's 'honeycomb style' interface, Audiofier says the user can focus more on the sound, relying more on their ears than sight to find that specific sound they had in mind.

In Veevum Morph the sound sources can be grouped into two sets of sounds, A&B, which the user can transition to and from in many creative ways to achieve even more unexpected variations, motions and evolutions. Veevum Morph provides pads, soundscapes, loops, and effects generated from a large pool of synths and acoustic instrument recordings that have been processed to become almost unrecognizable.

Veevum Synth offers 99% of the functionality of all the other Veevum instruments. However, at its core, it is fundamentally different in that Veevum Synth does not use samples of audio recordings. Instead, Veevum Synth uses 80 single-cycle waveforms, allowing the user to build analog synth sounds from scratch. Veevum Synth can handle 20 oscillators simultaneously.

Coupled with all the playing modes, effects and step effects common in all Veevum instruments, Audiofier says Veevum Synth becomes a highly versatile sound design tool for the modern media composer and producer.

To assemble the pool of sound sources included in Veevum Sync Mod-Tron, Audiofier experimented with Modular Synths and monophonic "Moog" type sounds to iconic Mellotron-ish flutes and vocals, and everything in between. Then they processed the recordings to create sounds that "will work perfectly in modern productions and retain a flavour from the past".
