Universal Audio has announced the release of the Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder UADx (Native) plug-in and LUNA Extension, a precise emulation of the legendary Ampex ATR-102 tape machine. Fully authenticated by the Ampex Corporation, this plug-in brings the warmth and character of analog tape to digital music production.

The updated Ampex ATR-102 UAD Native plug-in and LUNA Extension offers a range of features, including:

• Auto-Gain for gain staging and perfect tape calibration.

• Enhanced Retina GUI with interactive tape reels and controls, true to the original hardware.

• Selectable tape types and color options for customizable tone shaping.
