FXpansion releases BFD Percussion

FXpansion has announced that the newest addition to the BFD family, BFD Percussion, is now available.

BFD Percussion is the fifth expansion pack for FXpansion's BFD acoustic drum module, featuring everything from latin, world and drumkit-centric percussion to junk and kitchenware. They even included the Kitchen Sink - in full BFD multi-sampled, multi-articulated form.

Recorded at Omega Studios in Maryland, USA by the same team that brought you BFD Jazz & Funk Collection, BFD Percussion's sounds provide a wealth of creative sonic possibilities when manipulated by BFD's multi-channel drum mixing, groove-playing and audio processing technology.

The instruments are recorded with up to 46 velocity layers, using multiple articulations and multiple mic channels including stereo ambience. As always, carefully-selected high-end mics, preamps and converters were used for the sessions. The resulting sounds faithfully capture the musicality, expressive depth and dynamic scope of this eclectic percussion collection, and are perfect for use in a variety of musical styles and genres.

2. MIDI Groove Library.
3. Latin and world percussion including African, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Irish folk instruments.

5. A variety of bells, blocks, tambourines and chimes as well as effect sounds like waterphones, thundersheets and bowed gongs.

BFD Percussion is available direct from FXpansion's online store for $249 / €199 / £129, excluding local taxes where applicable. It will also be available in stores in some countries.
