iZotope releases Neutron 5

iZotope, part of Native Instruments, has just released Neutron 5, a significant update to their intelligent mixing suite. Promising to enhance the mixing workflow for producers and engineers of all levels, Neutron 5 is packed with new features designed to tackle any mixing challenge.

Neutron 5 introduces three new modules:

• Clipper Module: Add punch and loudness to your tracks while preserving headroom with versatile multiband clipping and oversampling.
• Density Module: Effortlessly smooth out dynamics and bring key elements forward in the mix with an upward compressor, adding presence, detail, and fullness to your audio.
• Phase Module: Instantly correct phase issues in any audio, ensuring a clean and powerful sound, particularly beneficial for multi-mic recordings and punchy kick/bass combinations.

The updated Mix Assistant in Neutron 5 claims to offer a faster and more intelligent starting point for your mixes. It creates custom signal chains based on your audio, allowing for easy adjustments and matching to reference tracks. The addition of mid/side and transient/sustain channel modes provides unprecedented control over specific elements within your mix.
