Native Instruments releases Guitar Rig v2.2 (incl. Universal Binary)

Native Instruments has released version 2.2 of Guitar Rig, including Intel-Mac compatibility.

Changes:

• Compatibility with Intel-based Macs.
• Three new effect components added.
• Faster preset change implemented.

Rig Kontrol 2 Driver changes

• Windows v1.3.7 and Mac OS X v2.0: Bug fixes and enhancements regarding performance.
• Mac OS X: v2.0.0: Runs on PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers.

With this update Native Instruments introduces a new activation and update manager system - replacing the old "Registration Tool". The software will run in the new "Demo Mode" after installation.

Launch the new "NI Service Center" Application which came with the update installer, and follow the instructions to re-activate your product. After you complete this new activation for the first time, all following free updates won't need a new activation. More info on the NI Service Center.

NOTE: Whether the Universal Binary Update for Intel-Macs is free for you or not, depends on the date you registered your product for the first time.

• If you activated your product before September 12th, 2006 the update is not free.
• If you activated your product on September 12th, 2006 or later - Free Download and free Activation. Simply download the update via the Update Manager, follow the installation below, and re-activate your product with the original Serial Number you received on purchase.
