sonible releases prime: vocal

sonible has announced the release of prime:vocal, an AI-powered solution for cleaning-up and enhancing vocal audio. prime:vocal is available as standalone software as well as an ARA plug-in (Beta) and has been developed to make vocals sound as though they were professionally recorded in a studio, even if they were created under less-than-ideal conditions.

Today's producers, aspiring creatives and artists have more opportunity for recording than ever before, but an imperfect setup makes for an imperfect result. With prime:vocal, every vocal can be easily treated in post-production to sound like it was recorded professionally, by using a combination of intelligent clean-up and enhancement processes that are simple to apply.

Vocal enhancement with prime:vocal includes noise reduction, room reduction and clean-up stages, each correcting problems in the source audio and removing unwanted elements like background noise, crosstalk or hum, properly balancing reverb, and intelligently taming sibilants and plosives.

Taking things further, a dynamics feature controls average and peak levels, while a balance parameter processes the signal for spectral balance and tone.

Unlike sonible's other software products, prime:vocal can be used as a standalone application and an ARA plug-in. In both versions of prime:vocal, an offline analysis process is started automatically when an audio file is loaded. As soon as a section is analyzed, instant enhancements are applied and users can start tweaking in that area.
