8UP releases "8-Bit Drum Kits 3"

8UP has released 8-Bit Drum Kits 3, a large collection of over 100 drum kits featuring acoustic drum and vintage drum machine samples that have been processed through a DPCM engine to replicate the sound of the original NES sound chip. The kits deliver a wide range of lo-fi DPCM kicks, snares, toms, and percussion, plus noise-synthesized hi-hats and crash cymbals.

Many drum samples in this pack also use a hybrid NES-era technique, blending short DPCM samples with synthesized noise for a fuller sound. The DPCM provides the body, while layered noise enhances the attack and sustain.
