Plughugger releases "DT2" for Spectrasonics Omnisphere

Plughugger has releases DT2 for Spectrasonics Omnisphere.

DT2 from Plughugger is a hardware centric soundset for Spectrasonics Omnisphere, based on the Elektron Digitone II hardware groovebox / synthesizer, released in 2024.

The original Digitone was released in 2017 as an 8-voice digital FM synthesizer with built-in sequencer. Version 2 expanded the Digitone with more voices, more tracks and most importantly, more synth engines, taking a large step out from the world of grooveboxes into the world of polyphonic synthesizers. At its core, everything in the Digitone II is digital, but apart from just focusing on FM synthesis, the Digitone II now adds several traditional synthesis engines, such as JP8000/Supersaw, Wavetable and Virtual Analog. As well as a very powerful engine designed specifically for FM drums and percussion sounds.

In terms of sound, the upgraded engines in the Digitone II makes it a truly versatile synthesizer and with DT2 Plughugger sampled a wide range of sounds, from smooth analog sounding supersaws to edgy FM basses, leads and drums.

BONUS Jupiter 8 soundset
While DT2 is a melodic techno soundset with a touch of 80s nostalgia blended into it, Plughugger pushed the 1980s feel even further and created a separate bonus soundset based on the Roland Jupiter 8, called J8.
