quietformat has released MELTONE, a software synthesizer for macOS and Windows, available in VST3, Audio Unit, and standalone formats.

MELTONE is a virtual analog synthesizer featuring two detunable oscillators with phase shaping, a smooth resonant low-pass filter, three envelopes, two LFOs, and support for MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE).
The interface provides direct access to key controls and allows flexible modulation routing without menu diving.
Also included is GILLA ARP, a built-in generative engine based on a system the developer calls Harmonic Particle Layering. This engine responds to chord input by generating randomized, musically coherent note textures layered over time. It operates independently from the main synth engine and remains disabled unless manually activated.
GILLA ARP is designed for users seeking evolving harmonic textures beyond conventional arpeggiation or modulation.
