WireGrind releases Arch Tremesis: A Signal-Triggered Tremolo VST Effect for Windows

10th September 2025

WireGrind has released Arch Tremesis, a VST tremolo plugin. Features include threshold-triggered LFOs, 11 modulation waveforms, ducking, internal/external sidechaining, and settings that limit/force a certain number of LFO cycles.

Feature Summary:

LFO Triggering

The effect's LFO switches on and off depending on the signal level. It works much like the attack and release on a compressor, and the result is an LFO that can synchronize with individual notes.

LFO Cycling Control

With the "Number of Cycles" parameter, users can specify how many LFO cycles should follow each trigger. LFO behavior can be further refined with a cycle mode ("at least," "at most," or "exactly") which gets applied to the "Number of Cycles."

Features Made Possible by Triggering

In addition to LFO cycling control, a number of other features are made possible by the triggering mechanism. These include sidechaining, LFO onset delay, ducking, and lookahead. Onset delay, essentially a pre-delay, adds a short pause between the LFO trigger and the onset of modulation. One possible use for this is to cleanly pass transients while still modulating the rest of the note.

11 Waveforms

Arch Tremesis has 11 different modulation waveforms. These include the well-known waveforms sine, triangle, sawtooth, and square, as well as six additional waveforms that have more unusual shapes.

Pricing & Availability

Arch Tremesis is available as a VST3 effect plugin for Windows for an introductory price of $20/€17 until October 15th (Reg. $50/€42).
