Mix Challenge Competitions in October 2025

The Mix Challenge competitions start off with two games this month.

The following challenges are currently open to compete in:

1. Mix Challenge #106:
   • Have the chance to work on a Rock production.
   • Deadline: 21st of October.
2. Songwriting Competition #098:
   • The theme being "Rock the house".
   • Create a production in any music genre you feel like (fitting to the given premise, with a focus on guitars).
   • Deadline: 24th of October.

Prizes will be awarded to the Winners Podium. Among them (selection): Acon Digital, Audified, BLEASS, Cherry Audio, Ghostwave Audio, Hollow Sun, Hornet Plugins, IK Multimedia, JRR Sounds, Kilohearts, kv331 audio, Luftrum, Masterlab Audio, Metric Halo, Musiclab, NUGEN Audio, Rekkerd Sounds, Satyatunes Graphic and Sound Design, Tone2 and TOURAGE DSP.

While the games take place in October, the Mix Challenge audio community is collecting sounds and samples for the Songwriting Competition in January 2026 called "Community Scramble", in which participants are allowed to use only these community-sourced samples as the main starting point for their compositions.

Participants can modify the provided material using methods such as re-sampling, modulation, wavetable synthesis, or similar techniques. The use of additional instruments, like guitar or bass, is allowed, as long as the recordings are significantly altered as well:

   • Sound and sample collection for SWC101 / January 2026.
   • Deadline: 24th of November 2025.
