Dystopian Waves has announced the release of Drox II (Free) and Drox II Pro, two Max for Live devices designed for real-time audio manipulation, combining glitch, tape, and stutter effects into a unified creative environment.
Drox II Pro is a multi-effect Max for Live device designed for detailed, per-event sound manipulation. It combines four independent engines. Dropout, Jump, Tape Stop, and Stutter, each controllable on its own or layered for complex processing.
The Stutter Engine takes center stage, allowing per-repeat sequencing across pitch, pitch bend, vibrato, phase modulation, distortion (4 types), filter (6 types), panning, and reverb. Each repeat can be composed like a rhythmic pattern with its own modulation and randomization settings. Dedicated sequencers control every parameter, offering both precision and movement through fully random or probabilistic systems.
All parameters can be tempo-synced, presets can be saved and recalled for sequencer configurations, making Drox II Pro a flexible tool for rhythmic design, glitch textures, and live performance.
Intro pricing of $15 is available until 11 November for Drox II Pro, while Drox is free.
The free version, Drox II, builds on the original Drox with enhanced processing and control. It includes Dropout, Jump, and Stutter engines, each capable of creating tape-style dropouts, skips, and rhythmic stutters.
The Stutter Engine includes per-repeat pitch, distortion, direction, and random filter controls, plus advanced randomization systems for dynamic results. Whether adding small imperfections or glitching an entire track, Drox II offers quick, creative sound transformation.
