MolecularBytes releases AtomicTransientMicro - Compact polyphonic transient shaping for precise dynamic control

6th November 2025

MolecularBytes has released AtomicTransientMicro, a transient processor that gives producers precise control over the attack and sustain of any sound — from drums and percussion to guitars, pianos, and full mixes.

Based on the core technology of AtomicTransient, the new plugin brings the same musical precision in a more compact and accessible form.

At its core, AtomicTransientMicro features a polyphonic transient engine that analyzes and processes overlapping notes independently. This allows users to shape complex, layered instruments such as guitars, pianos, or percussive loops with accuracy and transparency that conventional transient shapers cannot achieve.

A frequency-focused detection system makes it possible to target specific tonal areas, tightening kicks, softening snares, or extending harmonic sustain.

Dynamic envelopes for attack and sustain can be shaped freely, with controls for time, duration, and level.

Additional features include a real-time spectrum analyzer, over 180 factory presets, full MIDI control and MIDI Learn support, and a scalable interface with three selectable themes.
