discoDSP has announced Bliss 3.5, a major update to its sampling workstation, delivering enhanced workflow capabilities, performance improvements, and cross-platform refinements.
The new macro preset system transforms workflow efficiency with comprehensive save/load functionality for all 8 macro configurations. Users can now save complete macro setups as program presets, copy settings between slots, and manage individual macro configurations with ease. Enhanced MIDI CC configuration features clickable labels for quick assignment of CC numbers 0-127.
Bliss 3.5.0 delivers sample loading improvements, reducing load times. The optimized system prioritizes exact path lookups and handles banks with full sample paths more efficiently, particularly benefiting Linux users.
Improved handling of external sample sources (SFZ, EXS, SF2) ensures user parameter modifications are preserved during bank loading. Multi-zone batch operations enable simultaneous editing across selected zones, including normalize, trim silence, loop detection, and moreāall with unified undo/redo support.
Equal-power crossfading with sin/cos algorithm eliminates clicking and popping at loop points while maintaining constant power throughout transitions. The expanded 2%-50% crossfade range provides maximum creative flexibility with artifact-free results.
Comprehensive right-click context menus, keyboard shortcuts dialog, effects preset dropdown buttons, and library menu cache clearing ensure changes to library folders are immediately reflected throughout the interface.
Bliss 3.5 is available now as a free update for 2.x and 3.x registered users at discodsp.com
