Bome updates MIDI Translator Pro to v1.9.2 and BomeBox Firmware to v1.6

Bome Software has updated MIDI Translator Pro to version 1.9.2.

Bome MIDI Translator Pro is a MIDI translation, mapping and processing tool. With its translations to emulated keystrokes and mouse clicks you can use it for controlling arbitrary software.

Changes:

• Variable Storage: you can now store the state of variables and retrieve them later, even after a restart.
• Parameters for Timer Action: now you can pass along values with a Timer to simplify many use cases.
• Native 64-bit on Windows.
• Native Apple Silicon on MacOS (x86/Intel still supported, too).
• Many small bug fixes and usability improvements.

BomeBox Firmware updated to version 1.6

The BomeBox is the solution for connecting and mapping MIDI devices via MIDI DIN, USB, Ethernet, and WiFi (without the need of a computer). Cross-connect USB-MIDI devices (powered by the BomeBox), MIDI 5-pin DIN, other BomeBoxes, computers, iPhones, and iPads.

This firmware update introduces beta support for Network MIDI 2.0 to the BomeBox — running side by side with the Bome Network MIDI, so all your existing setups keep working as usual.

Changes:

• Network MIDI 2.0 (beta): new official standard for connecting MIDI devices via Ethernet and wireless LAN. Note: in this version, the BomeBox only supports the MIDI 1.0 protocol.
• Allen & Heath mixers and surfaces: improved detection and connection persistence.
• Updated MIDI processing engine with full MIDI Translator Pro 1.9.2 features including Variable Storage.
• General stability improvements.
