RANE Releases SYSTEM ONE - Motorized Standalone DJ System with Engine DJ

RANE has announced the release of the SYSTEM ONE, a standalone DJ system featuring motorized platters and the Engine DJ operating system. This is the first RANE hardware product to utilize the embedded Engine DJ platform, allowing for laptop-free performance with the tactile feel of traditional vinyl.

The unit is built around two 7.2-inch high-torque aluminum motorized platters and a 7-inch high-definition vertical touchscreen. The SYSTEM ONE is designed for open-format DJs who require the flexibility to mix between various media sources without a computer, though it also functions as a controller for software.

Engine DJ and Stems Integration

The SYSTEM ONE runs on the Engine DJ OS, which provides onboard track analysis, lighting control, and file management. A significant component of the workflow is the integration of Stems. The hardware features dedicated "Instant Acapella" and "Instant Instrumental" buttons, a 4-part Stems pad mode, and Stem Level EQ control.

Currently, tracks can be pre-analyzed for Stems using the Engine DJ desktop software for playback on the device. RANE has stated that onboard Stems rendering—allowing for real-time separation without pre-processing—will be added via a firmware update in early 2026.

OmniSource Connectivity

The system introduces "OmniSource" architecture, allowing DJs to mix audio from USB drives, SD cards, an internal hard drive (SATA drive bay included), and various streaming services, including Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, TIDAL, Beatport, and SoundCloud Go+.

While the unit is designed for standalone use, it also supports computer-based software. Integrations for Serato DJ(unlocking Serato DJ Pro) and Algoriddim djay are scheduled for release in early 2026.

Hardware and Effects

The mixer section features RANE's MAG FOUR crossfader and Precision Feel channel faders with adjustable tension and hardware contour controls. For performance feedback, eight OLED displays located above the performance pads provide visual data on Hot Cues, Samples, and Stems.

The SYSTEM ONE includes a comprehensive effects engine:
