Yamaha Announcements at NAMM 2026: MODX M Synths, MGX Digital Mixers, URX Interfaces & CC1 Controller

Yamaha has unveiled a significant range of new electronic musical instruments and pro audio equipment at the 2026 NAMM Show. The launch lineup is headlined by the new MODX M synthesizer series, the MGX line of digital mixers, URX audio interfaces, and the CC1 control surface.

MODX M Synthesizers

The MODX M series (comprising the M6, M7, and M8) draws from the architecture of the flagship MONTAGE M, featuring three distinct synthesis engines. Designed for both stage and studio applications, the new workstations offer updated physical controls and software integration.

MGX Digital Mixers

The new MGX Series transitions the long-running MG mixer line into a fully digital format. Designed for live sound, recording, and streaming, these mixers incorporate features previously found in Yamaha's higher-end digital consoles.

EAD50 Electronic Acoustic Drum System

The EAD50 is a new drum module and microphone system designed to simplify miking acoustic kits while adding electronic triggering and processing. The package includes the module and the DSU50 stereo condenser microphone, which mounts to the bass drum hoop.
