Morphulus has released Spectrus, a modular multi-effect plug-in with a 4-slot parallel/serial processing architecture and 21 studio effects.

The plug-in ships with nine purpose-built reverb algorithms, each using a different DSP topology:

• Plate: 8-delay FDN with Householder matrix.
• Prism: mathematical sequence-based delay patterns with transient-shaping attack control.
• Bloom: 6-delay feedback network chamber reverb.
• Ember: 16-delay FDN with per-delay-line harmonic processing in five coloration modes.
• Shimmer: granular pitch-shifted feedback with optional dual-voice mode.
• Freeze: infinite-sustain capture with input bleed for layering.
• Glacier: plate-style FDN freeze reverb.
• Velvet Room: sparse early reflections with Dense Velvet Noise late tail.
• Velvet Hall: DVN early section paired with a 16-delay Hadamard FDN for extended tails.

Spectrus routes audio through four parallel processing slots with serial routing options, each capable of loading any of the 21 available effects. Beyond reverb, the library includes eight modulation effects (Chorus, Vintage Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Ring Modulator, Rotary, Sample and Hold), three delays (Echo, Tape Delay, Spectral Delay), and a Saturator. Each slot has independent level control, wet/dry mixing, mute/solo, copy/paste, chain repositioning, and slot locking for auditioning.
