Blue Cat Audio updates PatchWork to v2.78 - Plug-In Management Features and AUV3 Support

Blue Cat Audio has released a free update for Blue Cat's PatchWork, their virtual patchbay for plug-ins.

With this new version, Blue Cat's PatchWork introduces powerful new plug-ins management features, including a built-in scanner and browser to quickly find and load third-party or built-in plug-ins. The preset browser has also been significantly improved, with real-time full-text search and enhanced filtering capabilities. PatchWork 2.78 also adds Audio Unit V3 (AUV3) support on Mac, alongside several usability improvements and bug fixes (full list below).

The PatchWork 2.78 free update can be downloaded from the same location as the original full version, accessible via the link provided by email upon purchase. For those who do not yet own the software, demo versions are available in multiple plug-in formats as well as standalone applications for both Mac and Windows on www.bluecataudio.com.

What's New In PatchWork 2.78:

• New plug-ins scanner: scan third party plug-ins and load them directly from the plug-in menu.
• New plug-ins browser: browse and search plug-ins once scanned, with optional full text search inside saved plug-ins (bluecataudio.com/Blog/tip-of-the-day/blue-cats-patchwork-plug-ins-browser-manager).
• Added support for Audio Unit V3 (AUV3) plug-ins on MacOS.
• Enhanced presets browser:
• Displays results in real time while typing.
• Supports full-text search within presets (find presets containing a specific plug-in or keywords).
• Performs searches without blocking the user interface.
• Both the plug-in and preset browsers now match files containing all search terms (AND logic) instead of just one (OR logic).
• Plug-ins user interface is now open automatically when dragged and dropped from the file system.
• Audio player's play/pause is now NOT synchronized to host by default (this can be overridden via a user default preset).
• VST3 plug-in editors are now loaded only when their user interface is displayed.
