Samplicity has released ScoreStage, an algorithmic positioning reverb for placing instruments inside a shared acoustic space.
ScoreStage is designed for composers, producers and mixers working with orchestral, cinematic and acoustic productions. Instead of only adding a reverb tail, it combines source positioning, early reflection modelling and multiple microphone perspectives to help create a sense of depth, width and distance.
The plugin uses four parallel true-stereo reverb engines, representing different microphone perspectives within the same room. Sources can be positioned on a virtual stage, and the microphone balance can be adjusted to shape the perceived distance and perspective of the sound.
ScoreStage includes controls for room size, decay time, surface absorption, air absorption, modulation and microphone balance. The interface is fully resizable and includes built-in contextual help.
ScoreStage is available for the introductory price of €169 (Reg. €199) for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats. A fully functional 14-day trial is available.
ScoreStage uses iLok licensing and is available from the Samplicity website: samplicity.com/scorestage
