Universal Audio Releases UAD Topline Vocal Tune - Native Pitch Correction with Ultra-Low-Latency Monitoring

UAD Topline Vocal Tune is Universal Audio's first dedicated vocal pitch correction plug-in, a native Mac and PC release built around low-latency headphone monitoring during tracking sessions.

The plug-in covers the full range of pitch correction styles, from transparent correction that preserves vocal character to the pronounced hard-tune effect associated with contemporary hip-hop, R&B, and pop. A single control moves between the two approaches, with Natural Voice Settings to retain the nuance and phrasing of a performance at the subtle end of that range.

Beyond corrective tuning, Shift Mode provides independent Pitch and Formant controls for more deliberate vocal manipulation, separating the two parameters rather than coupling them as standard pitch correction processing typically does. MIDI Repitching builds on this by using incoming MIDI data to set the output pitch of a corrected vocal, letting producers use the track as a pitched instrument for melodic hooks or harmonies programmed externally.
