Monkey Tools releases Library Monkey 3.0 and Library Monkey Pro 1.0

Monkey Tools has announced the release of Library Monkey 3.0 and Library Monkey Pro 1.0 for Mac OS X. Library Monkey offers a set of tools for audio asset management where Library Monkey Pro provides managing, editing and processing all in a single application.

Library Monkey and Library Monkey Pro offer Sets and Smart Sets for custom organization, recall of recent searches, and multiple Bins for temporary storage. Search your assets with symbols and Boolean commands, view detailed asset information, drag-n-drop directly into your DAW or other audio application. Use user-defined fields for custom organization, and create custom naming options for batch-processing. Use Droplets and Rapid Convert for instant processing using your favorite presets.

With today's digital music boom, metadata has become a vital part of audio production. Library Monkey and Library Monkey Pro provide many metadata batch-processing features. Copy metadata from a single file to all processed files, move metadata from one metadata field to another, or simply change the metadata across multiple assets in a single edit.

Library Monkey Pro adds many advanced features including a Waveform Editor. This new editor provides multi-channel editing, an enhanced overview for file navigation, auto-regioning, advanced actions, AU and VST plug-in processing all in a simple and yet powerful user-interface. Actions include Auto-Trim, Normalize, Auto-Gain, Change Sample Rate, Resample, Swap Channels and more. Add to that sample level editing and user-interface customization, and you have one of the most feature-complete editors on the market today.

CD ripping with support for indexes is also available with Library Monkey Pro. With a streamlined process, a user will be able to turn their cumbersome CD library into a fully digitized and searchable SFX and/or music library.

Library Monkey Pro also provides the ability to process files with the FhG MP3 and MP3 Surround codec from Thomson/Fraunhofer and the popular LAME codec. Library Monkey Pro is unique in providing both MP3 codecs providing the end user with the ultimate flexibility in creating MP3 assets.
