Applied Acoustics Systems releases Strum Acoustic GS-1 - Acoustic Guitar Synth

19th June 2008

Applied Acoustics Systems has announced the release of Strum Acoustic GS-1, a new acoustic guitar software synthesizer that brings a fresh solution to music producers and composers for the creation of acoustic guitar tracks.

Strum Acoustic GS-1Based on the latest AAS physical modeling technology, Strum ships with a collection of steel and nylon acoustic guitars. It includes an elaborate voicing module which automatically voices chords played on the keyboard as a guitar player would on the fretboard. Strumming and picking actions are reproduced by an auto-strum function, special strumming keys, or MIDI loops. An EQ, a multi-effect, and a reverb module complete the package.

"Strum is the keyboardist's perfect solution for creating great sounding acoustic guitar tracks," said Marc-Pierre Verge, CEO of AAS, "Our physical modeling approach not only allows one to find the right sound but also to easily and efficiently reproduce on a keyboard, a wide range of left and right hand playing techniques."

Pricing and Availability

Strum Acoustic GS-1 is available now at a suggested retail price of $229. Strum Acoustics GS-1 runs on both Mac OS X and Windows as a standalone application as well as in host sequencers supporting the VST, Audio Units, and RTAS plug-in formats. Demo versions are available.
