12-Bit Crunch releases Powerhouse Breaks Vol. 2 with a 33% discount

August 15, 2019

12-Bit Crunch has released the second volume of their sample pack Powerhouse Breaks with a discount of 33%.

This series is a complete digital archive of the drum and percussion loops recorded for the Bandmaster Powerhouse drum machine, made in Scotland in the 1970s.

This "rare-as-hen's-teeth" unit played back lengthy loops on 8-track tape cartridges, with the intention of drummer-less musicians being able to accompany themselves with the hottest grooves of the day.

Volume 1 of 'Powerhouse Breaks' archived the eight tapes that shipped with the Powerhouse, but there were an additional four tapes made for it (that are particularly rare), that add styles such as 'Latin Hustle', 'Philly Beat' and 'Disco Rock' to the catalogue. There were then two additional tapes made for the US market that covered Country music styles, that are even rarer still.

In Powerhouse Breaks Vol. 2 12-Bit Crunch is offering the loops from all six bonus tapes, a total of 48, as 24-bit .WAV files at 44.1kHz from their website 12bitcrunch.com

For the first month of release only they have two special offers:

  • 33% off Powerhouse Breaks Vol. 2.
  • 50% off Powerhouse Breaks Vol. 1.
