Revel Software releases "Breezer 2013" Beta - now with tagging & file operations support

Revel Software has released a beta version of Revel Breezer 2013, a Windows application that allows you to manage your digital archive of samples and recordings.

Revel Software says "Born in 2010 to fill a gap in the world of audio applications for the Windows platform, Revel Breezer 2013 represents the most significant update since its introduction. Breezer now offers hundreds of new features created to simplify the organization and exploitation of audio archives, without size or structure constraints".

Breezer's new user interface was re-designed to speed up the search and the preview of audio samples. Now it is easier to create custom loops, export them, read a file's metadata or calculate tempo and pitch. Once you find the right sample via drag'n'drop, it is now possible to export it in other applications, without any additional steps.

In Breezer 2013 the "Layered player", a tool dedicated to listening to multiple samples simultaneously, has been enhanced with new commands and an improved user interface. Now the player allows you to export all tracks in other audio editing programs for their immediate use via drag'n'drop and it has become an independent application.

Breezer 2013 introduces a new library management method, via tags, which works above the physical structure of the library that consists traditionally of folders and files. The user can organize the library, as it needs, by projects and sub-projects, by customer, by quality or any other criterion. There is no limit to the numbers of tags or their hierarchical structure. Thanks to the underlying relational database, information retrieval is always fast and scales well.

Other improvements introduced are harmonic analysis in real-time, feature that allows you to identify which notes are paramount in a sample. The calculation of beats per minute, or BPM, was improved and now includes delay and note length calculation. Compatibility with formats such as REX and 32-Bit Wave files has been improved thanks to the collaboration with professional users. Contacts with other leading companies in the production of effects and sample libraries are under way to guarantee Breezer support for other proprietary formats.

The preview version is available, free of charge, at www.revel-software.it/breezer/beta/download while the final version will be available in late autumn, 2013.
