SubBass Academy sends student to play at Godskitchen
SubBass Academy of Electronic Music launched their first Music Business Course on 7th & 8th of May which saw 6 students taken through the essentials of music promotion and business.
Led by international DJ/producer Paul Thomas and Godskitchen long standing iconic resident, all students were also given the opportunity to be chosen to play at the last ever Godskitchen. Given Paul's connection with the legendary brand, as part of the course, SubBass Academy gave one lucky student on the opportunity to play at the last ever Godskitchen event taking place on the 3rd & 4th June at the O2 Institute, Birmingham.
SubBass Academy would like to congratulate Lisa Waghorn (DJ name Lisa Heart) for being picked for this incredible opportunity! She demonstrated the required tenacity when it comes to promoting yourself - as soon as the course finished Lisa invited all her friends to go onto the Godskitchen event page and asked for her to be included in the line up! It definitely worked.
Part of what the Music Business Course at SubBass covers, is thinking about new ways to promote yourself, going over and above what other DJs/Producers might not think of and also showing a promoter what they want to see, which is a popular fan base! Well done Lisa.
