Rhythmic Robot Audio release DX KEYS for Kontakt

-
Rhythmic Robot

Rhythmic Robot Audio have released DX Keys, a meticulous recreation of the DX7's Piano and Electric Piano sounds. The Kontakt instrument presents all eight of the original DX key sounds in a format that mimics that of a DX 7 IID "Program" slot, allowing the user to layer, mix, detune and pan two patches simultaneously for a much richer sound than was possible with the original DX7.

Further enhancements to the 80's experience include a convolved period-authentic Lexicon reverb offering nine environments (3 Room, 3 Hall, 3 Plate), plus onboard Chorus for further thickening. DX Keys goes to great lengths to capture the DX7's responsive, articulate playability, using 6 velocity layers and over 830MB of compressed multisamples to ensure that the software version is as near to the hardware as possible. Full audio demos and further details are at Rhythmic Robot. The instrument is ideal both for retro-inspired 80s pop (particularly using the world-renowned Full Tines patch) and for more contemporary EP duties, where the less-used key sounds come into their own.

Price: £8 - It is available for a limited time at the introductory price of £6.40. DX Keys requires a full version of Kontakt 4.2.3 or later (including any version of Kontakt 5). Kontakt Player is not supported.
