MAAT's Mastering Academy Announces Q1 2018 Seminars
Mastering Academy, a division of MAAT Inc., has released new dates for their first quarter 2018 mastering seminars.
A balance of theory and hands-on training, Mastering Academy is a "post–graduate degree" in audio production and post. Whether attendees have been in audio for years or are just starting, from recording and arrangement through mixing to mastering, they will learn new tips, with essential background and methodologies that will benefit both engineer and client.
For five full days at the Mastering Academy, participants will be working in a highly dialed listening environment to calibrate perception. Part of the curriculum will be mastering for modern multiple output formats, with up to date information on metering standards and techniques to balance dynamic density with client requests for loud masters. A small group session, the course is live and interactive so all questions will be answered. In addition, each student receives nine hours of DVD course prep in advance of the class so everyone is on an equal footing.
