Radium Audio has updated Radium for Linux, macOS, and Windows to v5.9.71.

Radium is a tracker-like music editor. It is also a fully-fledged DAW and MIDI sequencer.

Radium has features like smooth scrolling, zooming, automation, piano roll, modular mixer, modulators, MIDI learn, hard drive recording/playback, embedded Pure Data (Pd), and embedded Faust.

Changes since 5.9.48:

  • Audio: Significantly improved CPU usage.
  • Audio: Configurable internal block size to adjust automation granularity vs. CPU usage.
  • GUI: Lots of visible improvements.
  • GUI: Options to adjust color saturation for instruments and sequencer blocks.
  • macOS: Workaround for crash in Apple's OpenGL library.
  • Keybindings: Separate keyboard focus between editor, mixer, and sequencer.
  • Keybindings: Many new default keybindings to work specifically on the mixer and sequencer.
  • Manual: Many improvements.
  • Menus: Improved displaying shortcuts.
  • Mixer: Options to change height ratio between plugin/send configuration and volume slider/meter.

  • Sequencer: New Bus track type.
  • Editor: Paint borders around current track and sub tracks.
  • Faust development instrument/plugin: Add support for the interpreter backend.
  • Edit: New functions to distribute notes evenly and new functions to randomize octaves.

  • 229 other bug fixes and improvements. (342 git commits).
