Raising Jake Studios has released DRP2a, a plugin emulation of the original Rocksonics DRP2a Stereo Dynamic Range Processor hardware unit from the mid 1990s.
DRP2a is a multi-function stereo/mono dynamic range processor capable of:
- dynamics compression.
- dynamics expansion.
- soft noise gating.
- limiting.
- clipping.
- ducking.
- pumping and more.
DRP2a offers many additional features that were not part of the original hardware unit including:
- Side Chain Input.
- Look Ahead.
- De-Essing sidechain emphasis filter.
- Oversampled peak limiter/clipper.
- Wet/Dry mix control.
