Akai Pro releases MPC Beats - Free DAW with 80+ exclusive AIR Music Tech Plugins

-
AKAI

Akai Pro has announced the release of MPC Beats, a fully-featured, beat-making software application based on the MPC workflow designed to make great-sounding beats quickly. It's completely free with no nag screens.

Here's what they say:

From the moment you install MPC Beats, you're ready to start creating. Remix one of the included songs, or start off with a genre template like Trap, Dance, Pop and more. Start fresh and select from 2GB worth of content, including samples, loops, and built-in exclusive Air Music Tech virtual instrument plugins to craft your sound.

With MPC Beats, you're in full control of your sound. Experience plug and play compatibility with all class-compliant USB controllers. From MPK Mini to M-Audio Oxygen, Alesis V-Mini and more, get connected with a large list of pre-mapped controllers to get completely hands-on with your beat making.

MPC Beats has plenty of power for ambitious creators. Over 80 audio FX plugins to warp, manipulate and transform audio into whatever you can think of. Plus VST/AU compatibility means there's room to expand your sonic palette with compatible third-party virtual instrument plugins and audio processing plugins. You can even record instruments or vocals with 2 stereo audio tracks to add live elements to your music.

Upgrade to the Full MPC Software for more tracks, instruments and FX. You can subscribe, rent to own or purchase outright. However, beats will never force you or bug you about it.

Price: Free.

Hmm.. Lots of people complaining on Akai Pro's FB page (and other forums) about not receiving the download link, what's going on?

@Lydmonster. indeed, either they have backend problems or they are fishing for email addresses for targeted marketing based on the answers to the questions about musical style and level of musicianship etc.....or am I reading too much into it? At least I know it's not a problem my end..;-).

Received the download e-mail (!) from Akai minutes ago, downloading app and the add-ons now..

They must have had technical issues/had a bottleneck with processing the requests?

Have another look, I just got an email with link a few minutes agol. I suspect demand was higher than anticipated, (or maybe the announcement was slightly premature).
