Fanan team has released Betelgeuse Stand Alone and Betelgeuse Stand Alone Free editions of their Arranger module for Windows. They say:
Following our users requests, we've released this edition to expand this Betelgeuse's functionally and versatility. The new edition will work outside of the DAW while communicating with the VST instruments inside the DAW via virtual MIDI cables. The MIDI cables method will also allow integration with hardware samplers and any other format that supports MIDI cables as an inputs, in the box or out. This edition also solves the technical challenge of consuming CPU resources intensively as a plugin and the challenge of collaboration between diverse sound sources while using same MIDI controllers to control them all.
Key features:
- Authentic hardware arranger experience with the advantages of software flexibility.
- Library of styles for creating backing tracks in any genre.
- Live performances, jam sessions, studio production, and on-the-fly accompaniment ready.
- Can be paired with any VSTi.
- Instant communication with any DAW via virtual MIDI cables.
- Integration with GM compliant VSTis for controlling and synchronization.
The new version is a free update to owners of the "Mad MIDI Machines" pack ($55).
