Fracture Sounds has unveiled String Formations, a string textures library designed to add nuance and movement to static string chords. Recorded with a chamber ensemble in a large studio space, this library combines three violins, violas, and celli, to form a versatile sound for both small-scale and large productions. It includes 23 articulations, 20 atmosphere layers, and a Layer Blends engine that combines many of the sounds for a varied sonic palette.
Not only do the articulations in the library combine seamlessly, but they are also designed to work in conjunction with other standard string libraries to enhance the movement within compositions. The library also pairs well with their earlier release, Trails, made in collaboration with composer and violinist Alexander Parsons. Both libraries can be purchased together at their introductory price for a limited time as part of the special String Bundle running alongside their promotion on String Formations.
Those looking to get a feel for the library before purchasing can try out Fracture Sounds' Blueprint product, Gentle Strings, which was recorded during the String Formations sessions.
String Formations is on sale now for £89, $99, or €99 (RRP £129, $149, €149).
