iamlamprey has released Tethys - Expressive Synth Keys, the first experiment in a series of Synth Libraries which are essentially an attempt at making VI Synths more expressive.
Tethys has character, imperfections and noise cast into the samples themselves, and multiple velocity layers to help soften the harshness often found in software-based Synths.
The Library contains 16 patches which can be loaded into one of 3 samplers. It also includes a random-patch button to instantly generate a random Synth patch, and 20 Factory Presets to give users a starting point.
Tethys works well for Lo-Fi or retro soundtracks and is great for bringing across a nostalgic, melancholic vibe.
