Modartt

Modartt has released version 2.1 of Organteq, the physically modelled pipe organ. This update introduces several new features and improvements designed to offer greater versatility, a richer sound palette, and a more seamless creative experience.

Improved Preset Filtering with the "Tag" Feature

A new "Tag" feature makes browsing through presets easier, allowing users to quickly find the perfect sound for their musical needs from a variety of built-in tags. Creation and customisation of user tags is also possible to gain full control over your preset management.

Revoicings and Expanded Stop Library

Seven new stops have been added to the stop library, including a full set of Romantic Principals, while the French Romantic presets have been carefully revoiced for a more authentic sound. These improvements allow organists to further refine and personalize their organ's tonal qualities, offering more creative possibilities than ever before.

Additional Organs

The updated organ library includes 14 new organs of diverse aesthetics, ranging from early baroque to contemporary. These thoroughly crafted instruments provide users with a broader selection of styles and sounds to explore, for an even richer musical experience.

Summary of changes in 2.1.0:

  • Add 14 historical and modern organs.
  • Revoice French Romantic organs.
  • Add 7 stops.
  • Rename previous historical and modern presets (e.g: 'Historical: Alsacian Organ II (Marmoutier) ' to 'Alsacian Organ II (Marmoutier - 1746) '.
  • Add two new temperaments (Cavaille-Coll 1/9 and 1/10 comma).
  • Add dynamic tremulant names on the main console interface.
  • Add more explicit monophonic coupler names on the main console interface.
  • Add "tag" feature for filtering presets, 5 built-in tags.
  • Add a snapped value to some parameter sliders.
  • The MIDI demos embedded in presets can now be loaded and played in the MIDI player of the standalone app.
  • On macOS, checkbox added in options/devices that automatically selects the default audio device.
  • Fix various bugs and crashes.
  • Increase highlight colour of black keys when played.

The update is available as a free download for existing Organteq 2 license owners. New users can explore Organteq through a free trial version.
