Plughugger has released Microns, a soundset for Arturia Pigments, based on the classic Waldorf MicroQ synthesizer, that focuses on electronic sounds aimed specifically for digital electronica inspired by music and sounds from the late 90s and early 2000s.
With Microns, Plughugger concentrated on pads, leads and synth sounds. While the majority of the samples taken from the MicroQ were recorded dry, Plughugger also recorded the synthesizer by pushing its effects to the limit, especially its special lofi reverb and the rebellious "Five FX" multi effect with overdrive and bitcrusher.
Microns contains 152 sounds in the following categories:
