PlugInGuru.com has released Unify Demo, a free demo version of their new plug-in Unify.
Unify Demo is a plug-in or standalone application that is a combination of a musical instrument (it includes numerous instruments and effects - both audio effects and MIDI effects, to make powerful and inspiring Patches with groove elements, splits, layers and much more. The demo version comes with 42 Patches (the full retail version comes with 426 Patches).
After scanning your plug-in folder, you can load your own plug-ins onto individual layers to add a new way of working with all of your plug-ins. Making complex multi-synth patches is easy and fun. Unify can read/load VST, VST3 and Audio Unit plug-ins and use them inside any format meaning you can load VST3 plug-ins into the VST version of Unify Demo.
PlugInGuru says:
Unify in essence gives every synth you own its own Combination mode = if you own Zebra2 you can now make multi-patch layers for a bass, lower the top note range of each of the Layers and then add 2 Synth patches, lower the bottom note range of each layer and play 4 instances of Zebra from within a single plug-in. Unify Demo is multi-core compatible so each layer that has a synth (plus unlimited insert effects) uses 1 core of your computer. There are also 4 audio AUX busses and a master effect channel.
What makes Unify unique is that Programmer Shane Dunne and Producer/Sound Designer John "Skippy" Lehmkuhl received permission from various software developers that have created incredible free plug-ins to include Instruments, MIDI Effects and Audio Effects with their own Guru Sampler and audio processing effects.
Unify Demo runs identically to the full version with the following limitations:
- Sound stops after 15 min.
- Patch saving has been disabled.
- Plug-in state will not be saved to your DAW song files.
- The samples have been heavily compressed to reduce file size (600MB of samples compressed to under 100MB).
- Some functionality has been disabled (grayed out).
- There is no technical support for the Demo version. Free technical support is available to owners of the full version of Unify.
Unify Demo works with Mac OS X 10.9 - 10.14 (demo is not Catalina compatible however the full version of Unify is 100% Catalina compatible) and Windows 7 & 10 (all versions).
The 100MB free Demo is available at the PlugInGuru.com website or at www.Ilio.com.
The full version of Unify retails for $79 and is on an introductory sale price of $59 until March 15.
