Polyverse Music has updated the public beta of Filterverse to version 0.9.0, which brings four all-new effect types, more features, and even more streamlined workflow.
New Effects:
- Vowel Filter: The Vowel filter models mouth and throat shapes that create the characteristic sounds of the human voice. This lets you add a singing or speaking quality to any source material. You get separate control over formant shift (vocal tract size), lips and tongue positions, the blend of filter types used and — of course — subtle or not-so-subtle drive.
- Tempong: Reaching far beyond the traditional stereo bounce, Tempong lets you place tempo-synced delay taps across the stereo field with surgical precision. Its multiple patterns offer options with a clear tap at stereo center, double taps at each extreme, and much more. Use the cross-fade settings, and each side of the stereo picture feeds the other. Add feedback, and you may need to make sure your listeners don't lose their balance.
- Fractazer: Fractazer is a fractal phaser: a series of multiple phasers, each nested within the previous one. With up to six levels of nesting, it can comb through the source signal using up to 66 frequency peaks and valleys. This one can be gentle, but it's capable of harmonically re-profiling a sound so completely that it's unrecognizable compared to the source.
- Coils: It's not a spring reverb. Coils models the resonant qualities of a physical coil spring, creating a signature swoosh in your sound. You have control over how tightly the spring is twisted, high-frequency dampening, panning of alternating coils, and even coil shapes.
