Pulsar Audio releases Echorec - Emulation of the Binson Echorec 2 magnetic-disk delay
Pulsar Audio has released Echorec, an emulation of the Binson Echorec 2 magnetic-disk delay, a well-known magnetic disk delay from the 1960s. This exceptionally-sounding machine, now very rare, has become famous because of its use by many bands of the 70s: Pink Floyd, The Shadows, Jimmy Page, etc.
The Pulsar Echorec is designed to bring the warm and organic sound of the original back to life with its advanced modelling of tube circuits and magnetic processes. It also adds modern features:
- Variable disc speed (and therefore delay time).
- Stereo Drift parameter.
- An Off mode allowing to use the plug-in as saturation without delay.
- Finger modulation of the disk speed.
Price: $109 - Intro price $77. Free full-feature 30-day demo.
