Rob Papen has announced the availability of PowerChord, a new guitar plug-in permitting users to quickly create power chord groove sequences.
Rather than relying on sampled loops, PowerChord users can create their own grooves using four 32-step sequencers. The plug-in offers a selection of 12 single solo guitar sounds and 41 stacked guitar model sounds.
PowerChord includes a range of features for sound sculpting, such as analogue-modelled filters, ring modulation, amp modulation, an 8-slot modulation matrix, EQ, and three effects blocks with 34 effect types.
It also features a Ribbon Controller for dynamic control of multiple parameters and a Manual Play Mode for playing strokes manually.
Rob Papen states:
PowerChord will never replace a real guitarist, but, then again, a real guitarist can't replace PowerChord due to the unique sounds it can create.

PowerChord is available now for an introductory price of €65 / $65 until September 17th. The regular price will be €79 / $79.
