Softube has announced the release of Layers, their all-encompassing doubling and widening plug-in.
Layers gives users intuitive control over doubles, quick macro control of organic modulation, multiple widening algorithms, full- & multiband compression, de-essing, octave effects, and more.
Layers allows users to add up to ten doubles – or layers – and move them about freely and easily. The placement adds depth and panorama. Quick changes to important parameters, like level and pitch, can be made directly per layer or users can deep-dive into the pop-up to tweak in detail. Layers contains widening algorithms ported from Softube's Widener as well as a new 'Slow Mod' type – inspired by chorus rack units used by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, and more. Layers lets users quickly add swirly modulation to all layers by increasing the Pitch and Time variation.
