Softube has announced the release of Transient Shaper, their new dual band transient tool.
Transient Shaper was announced and demonstrated at the recent NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. With its dual band operation, Transient Shaper goes beyond what one might expect from a transient tool. The dual band feature allows the user to set the Transient Shaper to affect only the treble or bass portion of a sound—separately for the Sustain and Punch parameters—and leave the rest untouched. This opens up a new realm of possibilities.
Transient Shaper is priced at $99 on Softube's own web store, with a list price through authorized Softube dealers of $89. A fully functional 20 day demonstration license can be obtained through Softube's web site (requires a USB iLok dongle).
Transient Shaper is available for both Mac OS X and Windows in the VST, VST3, AAX (native and DSP) and AudioUnits formats, both 32- and 64-bit.
The Softube installers have been updated to v2.1.68, which includes the following changes:
- Added Transient Shaper.
- Improved peak meters in several products.
- Console 1: Added Reset OSD window in toolbar. This will recenter the OSD on the primary display.
- AAX: Fixed modifier keys for Windows 8 and Pro Tools. Shortcuts for automation control now conforms to Pro Tools standard usage (see Softube Plug-Ins Manual page 18).
