sonicPlanet has updated Creation and StarWaves.

Changes in Creation v1.4:

  • Creation can now accept .wav and .aiff (.aif) files and with different sample rates. e.g. 44.1, 88.2 etc.
  • Stereo audio material will be automatically converted to mono instances.
  • If the sample rate of the file being imported is different than the sample rate of Creation, a high quality re-sampler will convert the sample material automatically to the sample rate of Creation.

Creation is available as standalone application for OS X (Monterey or higher) and Windows (10 or higher) operating systems and comes with the CreationRemote VST3/AU utility plugin. A minimum of an Apple M1 processor or equivalent is recommended.

Price: €109 from sonicPlanet.

StarWaves2 v2.2 offers the following improvements:

  • StarWaves can now accept .wav and .aiff (.aif) files and with different sample rates. e.g. 44.1, 88.2 etc.
  • Stereo audio material will be automatically converted to mono instances.
  • If the sample rate of the file being imported is different than the sample rate of StarWaves, a high quality re-sampler will convert the sample material automatically the sample rate of StarWaves.

V2.1 features:

  • 3D spatial sound rendering option taking the camera position as the origin. (This is not a true binaural stereo output but our very efficient spatialization solution).
  • Better Shaders for graphical rendering.
  • Smoother state transitions between morph slots.
  • Hiding the UI panel is being done with Shift + U. (no more double tapping on the screen).
  • From now on, the sample files are selected on a pop-up menu instead of opening the file browser each time. This menu updates whenever you add samples to the StarWaves sample folder.
  • Use Option + hold an emitter with your mouse pointer to move the emitter only on the Camera Z axis (not the world - z axis but on the camera look axis).
  • Use Shift + hold an emitter with your mouse pointer to move the emitter only on the Camera X axis (not the world - x axis but perpendicular to where the camera looks).

StarWaves is an audiovisual sound design tool where the sonic material is represented and interactive with in a 3D scene.

StarWaves v2.2 is available as standalone application for OS X (Monterey or higher) and Windows (10 or higher) operating systems. And it comes with the StarWavesRemote VST3/AU utility plugin. A minimum Apple M1 processor or equivalent is recommended.
