Soundiron releases "David Oliver's Drum Kit" for Kontakt Player & NKS with Intro Offer
Soundiron has released David Oliver's Drum Kit, a deeply sampled red 1980's Pearl DLX drumset, handpicked and performed by British instrumentalist and media composer David Oliver. This library is built for the free Kontakt 6 Player & NKS standard hardware.
The Pearl DLX was originally played and endorsed by the Jazz drummer Art Blakey. It has a vintage and versatile sound that's suitable for multiple genres and styles of music.
Soundiron captured the sounds of a Pearl DLX drum kit recorded at The Whitehouse Studios in the UK. With an extensive array of meticulously recorded drum articulations, you'll be able to craft realistic performances from swingin' Jazz to Funk and Rock styles effortlessly.
Soundiron recorded an extensive array of cymbals which were mostly Zildjians with a few Sabian, a few Paiste and Wuhan. They included a variety of hi hats with combinations of top and bottom, custom jazz and rock rides selected for their rich character and expressive crashes and splashes. Soundiron also sampled some effects cymbals, a few of which they customized with a grinder and rivets. The Sabian custom 20in crash ride was customized from a minibell dry ride by artisan cymbal maker Dave Collingwood in Bristol UK working to Soundiron's specifications to create a uniquely rich and tonally exotic cymbal especially for this project.
