Soundiron has released Montclarion Hall Grand Piano Version 2.0 for Kontakt, a classic Steinway grand piano recorded in a wooden church in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Montclarion Hall Grand Piano has a very rich sound and ideal for jazz, pop/rock and more experimental type of scoring. The library includes three different microphone positions (close, mid and far), so a user can blend between the microphone positions. The close microphone is for more intimate scoring. The mid microphone is better for a larger acoustic live feel and the far microphone is designed to have a dreamy texture to it.
There are also included song writers mood ambiences, which means that a user can trigger emotive ambiences (e.g. rain, warfare, bird sounds) in the background of their playing. This can help test the piano against a variety of classical moods and easily sketch out a score against basic sound design. The library also includes an effects section, so the library can be both conventional and experimental.
Price: $49.00 - $39.00 until Friday, October 26th.
